Brand: &Tradition

Nationality: Denmark 🇩🇰 Founded: 2010 📖Brand Background &Tradition is an up-and-coming Danish furniture brand founded by Kornbek Hansen, the second generation of a wealthy family whose father owns another Scandinavian furniture brand, MENU. Based on his love of design, Kornbek Hansen founded &Tradition with the aim of combining tradition and innovation, technology and art, and embodying the collision of function and vision.

Brand philosophy &Tradition’s brand philosophy is to bridge the gap between industrial processes and traditional craftsmanship by closely combining tradition and innovation. Its unique design concept allows for the perfect combination of traditional craftsmanship and future innovation in product design. Inspired by classic masterpieces of the past, the brand reinterprets classics in collaboration with contemporary designers to create home furnishings that satisfy modern functionality, comfort and aesthetics.

🧩&Traditio Classics 1️⃣ Little Petra (Viggo Boesen, 1938) Originally launched in 1938, Little Petra won acclaim at the Copenhagen Chamber of Industry exhibition, followed by awards at exhibitions in New York and Berlin. It is one of the few furniture designs by the architect Viggo Boesen. Little Petra’s surprisingly delicate form, with a low seat and a more enveloping wool material, embodies the essence of a chaise longue and adapts to a variety of sitting positions and environments.

2️⃣ Flowerpot Lamp Flowerpot (Verner Panton, 1968) Originally designed in 1968, Verner Panton’s Flowerpot Lamp is a classic, a simple and playful product that remains one of the most iconic pieces of post-war Danish design.

3️⃣ Shuffle (Mia Hamborg, 2010) The Shuffle seems to be reminiscent of classic wooden toys, with a choice of colours that can be mixed and matched as desired – Mia Hamborg is inspired by the stacking toys of her childhood and hopes that people will be delighted when they see her designs.

4️⃣ Lato Side Table
The base of this side table consists of a rounded piece of marble that looks like an inverted lollipop, for a small, understated look with a sense of fun.

5️⃣ Isole ( Nendo & Luca Nichetto, 2017)
Isole is the Italian word for island, and its unique modular sofa concept echoes the individual components.
